Hourly solar radiation data

Last Updated: Jul 25, 2016 02:10PM MDT

How can you input radiation or temperature values from text files, and how can you save them?

You cannot input temperature data into HOMER because the model does not use temperature as an input.  But you can import hourly solar radiation data from a text file.  In the Solar Resource Inputs window, click "Import hourly data file" and then click the Import File button to browse for the file.  The file should contain one column of data, with each row corresponding to one hour of the year, starting midnight-1am January 1st.  For more information, click the Help button on that window.

You can export hourly solar data from that window using the Export button.  The same is true for the other resource input windows, and the load input window as well.
