What is meant by a 'battery competition'? How do I set one up?
You can add up to ten battery components to a HOMER model. HOMER will only simulate systems with one type of battery at a time.
HOMER will model all the possible sizes of type one, all the possible sizes of type two, and so on. It will rank the results by life cycle cost as it always does, so if one of the batteries is cheaper than the others, or otherwise best suits the system, it will rise to the top of the rankings. That's all we mean by 'competing batteries against each other.'
